Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
This brief FAQs list is designed to help build the level of trust and confidence you need in making wise career decisions. We help professionals in career transition get clear, get noticed and get hired for work they love faster than going it alone.
Q: WHAT’S YOUR SUCCESS RATE?
A: As of September 2022, our Excel spreadsheet tells us we have a 93% success rate at getting people hired on average 53 days for non-executives, and between three and six months for executives (depending on how motivated and available the candidate is) from the date of purchase, to the date where they notify us they got hired! However, some of our clients decided to start a business or retire completely as a result of our coaching instead of going the traditional job route, so therefore we can’t honestly reflect those as a “get hired” success rate.
Q: WHICH INDUSTRIES ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH?
A: We are familiar with multiple industries, such as Banking, communications, public relations and cyber security. We are also adept at finance, real estate, sales, military, nonprofit, ministry, automobile, healthcare, IT, hardware, software and biomed. We are equally familiar with radio broadcasting and production, education, chemical engineering, construction, oil and gas, data science and government. Finally, we serve frequently those in project management, product development, process improvement, retail and so much more.
Q: WHICH COMPANIES HAVE YOU HELPED YOUR CLIENTS FIND JOBS?
A: We have helped facilitate our clients landing roles at many companies around the USA. Companies such as Charles Schwab, Southwest Airlines, USAA, AT&T, Baylor Scott & White, Amazon, Chase, Varidesk, Sodexo, Shell, Aerotek, HP and the US Government. Other companies include Starbucks, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, NTT Data, Dell, T-mobile, MetaGrowth Ventures, Ericsson, Emerson, Globe Life, Aramark, etc.
Q: ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH MY EXPERIENCE LEVEL?
A: Yes! We work with all career levels: from new graduates to C-suite including CEO, COO, CIO, CMO, CNO, CTO, VP and Director. We work with Sales executives, Agile coaches, Digital Transformation Leaders, Communications Directors, Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Project Management Professionals, Scrum Masters, Brokers, Software Engineers, Biochemical Engineers, Nurses, Physicians, Healthcare Administrators, and more.
Q: HAVE YOU HELPED MILITARY MEMBERS TRANSITION INTO CIVILIAN CAREERS?
A: Yes, we have. Neil has helped 50+ Air National Guard members from three different Wings (ACC and AMC) transition successfully to civilian careers. He did this before Hiring Heroes and Military OneSource were in existence. Additionally, Neil has translated Army Brigade and Battalion acronyms into civilian English for dozens of soldiers. Let’s put your DD214 or NG22 to work for you!
Q: AREN’T YOU MORE EXPENSIVE THAN MOST RESUME WRITERS?
A: This is our favorite of our FAQs. If you’re looking at cost alone as your only deciding factor, well then, yes. However, the old saying “we get what we pay for” is really true in this industry. As Career Upgraders, we work with clients to effectively market themselves:
- ON PAPER (resume, cover letters, thank you letters),
- ONLINE (LinkedIn profile updates), and
- IN PERSON (interview coaching).
We go the EXTRA MILE and advocate for our clients. We pitch to recruiters and hiring managers on your behalf. Additionally, we provide an entire strategy beyond just an improved resume. Our clients typically see ROI of 2500% year over year with a one-time investment. Who wouldn’t want to take $6,000 and in under six months turn it into $150k+ every year? You can too with our Raise the Roof package.
Q: DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
A: Yes, we do! There are three options to choose from with the Raise the Roof package. The first option is that if you Pay in Full, then you may enjoy a 10% discount, in which the price becomes $5,400. The second option doesn’t include a discount, but gives you more time to gather the funds, which is 50% down, and pay the remaining balance over three equal monthly payments. The third option is a Buy Now Pay Later option, involving PayPal Credit. There are no discounts, but there’s also no interest if paid off over six months. PayPal has its own rules on credit eligibility, and credit worthiness applies.
